Juliana Mouawad Khouri
Founder and Director
From an early age, Tourism grabs my attention for many reasons, especially its ability to generate transformation, as well as its diversity and multidisciplinary nature.
In an increasingly connected global world, tourism plays a crucial role as a socio-economic force. At the same time, its core product remains local: experience, authenticity, and human connection. This apparent dichotomy is precisely what makes the industry so powerful, fascinating, and rich—an endless subject for reflection and discussion.

Tourism professional with a master’s degree in Arab studies by USP – Universidade de São Paulo, I work there´s been more 20 years in this market. Throughout my career, I have worked across both public and private sectors, with companies of different sizes and profiles, including governmental institutions, luxury tour operators, renowned DMCs, destinations, hotel representations, and tourism boards. My experience spans both MICE and leisure travel, including the luxury segment, providing me with a comprehensive and strategic market perspective.
Coming from a family of Arab origin, with trade deeply rooted in its culture, commerce has always been part of my daily life. Long conversations about relationships with clients and suppliers, business practices, financial health, margins and profitability, inventory management, insights, and expansion shaped my professional perspective from an early age. Above all, I was inspired by family examples of professionals and entrepreneurs whom I admire, and who instilled in me values essential to any business: resilience, discipline, commitment, responsibility, integrity, high standards, and consistent hard work.
The decision to launch JMK GLOBAL Tourism & Trade was a natural and carefully matured step—almost a necessity for an inquisitive and restless professional spirit!
